Contacts
A centralized location for your organization's address book and personal chats—connecting all employees and enabling communication across the organization.

Organization — A container for workspaces. Users see Contacts and Workspaces, not the organization itself.

Navigation
- Contacts always appears first in your workspace list
- Contacts and workspaces are visually grouped to show their relationship
Personal Chats and Calls
Start a chat:
- Find a colleague in Address Book → click Write
- Use Search → open profile → click Write
Start a call:
- Use Quick Actions → Start Personal Call
- From a personal chat
- From a user card in the Address Book
Organizing Chats
Group chats into folders via Quick Actions → Add → Folder

Guests don't have Address Book access—they can only start chats from participant cards in channels they've been invited to.
Hide/Show Chats
Hide unused chats to declutter your list.
To hide:
- Right-click a chat in People
- Select Hide Chat
To show:
- Open Channels and Chats (Ctrl/⌘+Shift+E) or Jump To (Ctrl/⌘+K)
- Find the chat
- Click Open
- Click the status under the name → Show Chat

Hidden chats reappear automatically when new messages arrive.
Limitations
- Only direct calls available in Contacts—public calls and Call Rooms require workspaces
- Only Owners and Administrators can add users by email or create channels
- Guests can only create chats from user cards in their invited channels
- Workspace limits depend on your plan (see Workspace limits)
