Audio and Video Configuration

If you have trouble connecting your audio or video devices to YuChat, follow the steps below.

Open YuChat settings by clicking your avatar in the lower-left corner, then go to Settings → Calls.

Select your active microphone and confirm that the input level meter responds to your voice.

Antivirus Settings

If you use antivirus software, allow YuChat access to your camera and microphone. For details, see Kaspersky's documentation: https://support.kaspersky.com/KESWin/11.6.0/ru-RU/134861.htm.

To allow access in Kaspersky:

  1. In Kaspersky, open the Protection tab.
  2. Click Application Control.
  3. Under Application Rules → Personal Data Protection, click Manage Applications.
  4. Right-click YuChat, choose Restrictions, and click Trusted.

Windows 10/11

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and check the following:

  • Allow apps to access the microphone is on
  • Allow desktop apps to access the microphone is on
  • YuChat appears in the list of apps with microphone access

macOS

Grant YuChat access to your camera, microphone, and screen recording (required for screen sharing during calls):

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Open Privacy & Security.
  3. Open Microphone and toggle YuChat on.
  4. Repeat the same steps in Camera and Screen Recording.
